EGA' Latest Interceptor 38MKII launched.
Vega' was launched for her owner Johnny Simpson from Symbister, Walsey on the Shetland Isles of Scotland. Johnny will use her for recreational cruising and fishing. The vessel is a long cabin version and has been fitted out to a nice high standard with the main cabin featuring teak and holy cabin sole, a good size galley with corian work top, and comfortable seating opposite. The aft cockpit is a good size allowing plenty of space for angling. A raised engine box provides seating. A second helm position was provided on the cabin b/head allowing for easy short handed manoeuvring in marinas.
Vega is fitted with a single 420hp Caterpillar 3126 engine and achieved a max speed of 22.5kts at 2850rpm on a 7400kg displacement. She cruises very economically at 15.5kts at 2200rpm.
Possibly the prettiest 38 yet due to the striking red stripe following her sheer line. Below are a selection of pictures of her.
