Latest boat launch is ‘Sha-King’ an Interceptor 42 ‘Motor Yacht’ version for Darryll Nicholls of Poole , on the UK ’s South Coast . This is the 6th Interceptor 42 and the 28th vessel built since the company started up in 1998, which is pretty good testimony as to how popular and respected the Interceptor range has become.

‘Sha-King’ incorporates many new features that have been introduced for 2004. A new style of side window design makes her look even sleeker than before and gives improved visibility for passengers. The flybridge has been equipped to allow for comfortable helming with a smoked polycarbonate screen and dodgers fitted to the railings.  The vessel is fitted with a pair of Yanmar 6LYA diesel engines at 440hp, and being light and compact have a very good power to weight ratio. They provide ‘Sha-King’ with an easy 25 kts cruising speed and a max speed of 28kts+ .

Special underwater exhaust outlets were designed and incorporated at the owners request, they significantly reduce noise levels. Also, underwater lights were incorporated into the dive platform, these allow diving to be carried out at night. The interior fit out was to a very high standard moving our quality another notch higher again. Corain was used extensively for all work surfaces and coupled with a teak and holy cabin sole, high quality teak wood work and mouldings combined with very plush and comfortable seating, makes for a relaxing and classy environment, whereby the owner can use the boat for offshore cruising, fishing, as well as entertaining. She is a real multi purpose craft!

A CJ electric capstan was fitted to the st/bd gunwale in the aft cockpit allowing anchor to be deployed safely from the aft cockpit. the chain runs on rollers up to the bow  where the anchor self stows on the bow roller.

A full range off electronics were fitted including Raymarine Radar, plotter, auto-pilot and sounder, all  toped off with a CD player and  plasma TV screen for relaxing when the fishing’s slow.
